Happy Thanksgiving

Well another holiday has hit and I was able to shoot a few shots. I am full of merriment and food I guess that is what it is all about, or is it? I was able to grab a shot of Samantha and Hayleigh as they got ready for the onslot of food... I usually dread the holiday get together but today was not to bad. Now here comes "Christmas" watch out... Shot is with my Canon 10D, 50mm f/1.4, 580EX flash with my LSII open dome low ceiling.

Almost Late

Procrastination, sickness, I am getting old… all helped to make me almost miss this deadline on the photo assignment at TFTTF. The assignment was “Old & New” so this is what I saw in everyday life that everyone old to new has in their pockets. The shot was done with one key light and one bounce reflector, the image was adjusted in Photoshop so emphasis of the age of the older coins showed. What do you think?

Lions, Tigers, and Bears... "oh my"

The day was a beauty, for a November day the weather was perfect, most of the animals were up and moving. I sure had a good time stalking the kings of the jungle, but I didn't have to worry about being eaten... LOL I really enjoy shooting nature but sometimes it is better to have a safe zone to work with. the images I was able to capture are better by far from my last trip, each time I go I have a better camera to work with. I wonder what one I will have next time I go! I have the gallery ready to view click here:

15 Seconds

This morning I was witness to the 15 seconds that changed the face of Memphis, in just a matter of seconds the dynamite that the crew had set the week before brought down the 20 story Baptist Hospital. This was the Hospital that Elvis made famous. this is a link to the gallery where the rest of the images from the blast can be found. Posted by Picasa

Falling Leaves

The leaves are falling fast now and with rain in the forecast it will not be long before the blaze of color slips away to reveal the drab color of winter. I went out this morning 100mm f/2.8 macro in hand looking for the soon to be faded colors… Here is a gallery of a few shots I found worthy to share here on the web. I do know there should be enough leaves on the ground for my next photo op with Sammie and Hayleigh.

I opped to get out one more time today and catch the final light, I was able to catch "falls fire" quite well. check them out here:

New Look?

I have found the update to some album software I tried awhile back I was not to thrilled with it but with the new version it is looking good. I was able to customize the page to my liking. Check it out and see what this might do to help modernize the Gallery section: Click Here as always comments are welcome, look around, check out the slide show feature, then post a comment as to your thoughts. I have tried the site in Internet Exploreer, and FireFox... both act a little different.
